Cilanktro Bottle

W

e received a package of all four Hank Sauce hot sauces and this one that I tried was the Cilanktro Hot Sauce (green label). All of Hank Sauce’s come in a firm, strong glass bottle and are clearly labeled as to which kind of sauce it is. It has a brown label that spells out “Hank Sauce” in what appears to be a shark shape. The Cilanktro is clearly marked and the sides of the labels have the ingredients on one side and the suggested uses on the other.

I opened the bottle and you can instantly smell the butter, olive oil and vinegar

When you look at the bottle, the Cilanktro sauce is orange in color, which is the same across the board for all of Hank Sauces, and you can see the chopped up cayenne peppers in the sauce. I opened the bottle and you can instantly smell the butter, olive oil and vinegar, but it has a very nice aroma to it. It was very runny, much like all of the Hank Sauces, and I think the bottle definitely needs to be shaken up a bit before using.

Cilanktro with food

I tried the Cilanktro with chicken alfredo and it mixed well with the sauce. It had a nice little kick to it that added spice to what would have been an otherwise very standard pasta dish. I really liked it and was surprised how well it went with the dish, considering hot sauces like this are and should be typically used with wings or meat. I really enjoyed this version of Hank Sauce though, regardless.

From the Creator:
Hank Sauce is an alternative to boring pepper sauce. This is NOT your traditional hot sauce. We add a combination of the freshest herbs to achieve a flavor that is truly original.  The outcome is a savory blend with the perfect bite that can be used on a wide variety of foods.  it may not burn a hole in your tongue, but don’t be surprised if you burn through the bottle!
