Hot Sauce Review

f you can’t find Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce anywhere around the country, then you aren’t looking at all. We picked up a bottle of this at the local grocery store even though we had tried it a ton of times, but I hadn’t had it in a while or actually did a thorough review of it.

The label is pretty standard and it is common for anyone who loves hot sauce. We have all seen it and we all know what Frank’s labels are like. The sauce is not thick at all but it also isn’t so runny either. The color is typical for a standard hot sauce – red and hot. Go figure! And the smell doesn’t kill you by any means but you know what you are getting into as soon as you open the bottle.

It was very good as expected and a great reason why it has stuck around so long as being one of the top-selling hot sauce brands.

I went straight into putting Frank’s on both fried shrimp and a burger, obviously on two separates occasions. It was very good as expected and a great reason why it has stuck around so long as being one of the top-selling hot sauce brands. It has a great blend of heat and flavor, nice and hot but not overwhelming by any stretch. It’s safe to say that the sauce as a whole has a wide appeal.  It can be spicy enough for a chilihead to get through a meal, but it is also tame enough for the faintest of palettes to endure.  It went great with the fried shrimp and even better with the burger. I’ve had it a ton of times with wings so I know I will always go back to that, but I would even consider trying it in chili or soup next time as well.

The great taste of Frank’s RedHot made it the secret ingredient in the original buffalo wings created in Buffalo, NY in 1964.
